SANA'A - (Saba): The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning predicted scattered thunderstorms of varying intensity in a number of governorates during the next 24 hours.
According to the weather forecast issued by the center, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), scattered thunderstorms of varying intensity are expected in parts of the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, Raymah, Dhamar, Mahweet and Amran.
Scattered rains, accompanied by thunder, are likely at times over the governorates of Sa'ada, Hajjah, Sana'a, Dhalea, Al-Baydha, Shabwa, Hadhramout and Al-Mahara.
The center explained that the amount of rain that fell during the past 24 hours, and was measured in some weather monitoring stations, reached in Taiz Al-Ma'afer: 29.4 mm, Ibb: 3.0 mm.
Scattered rains fell outside the monitoring stations in parts of the governorates of Mahara, Hadhramout, Shabwa, Baydha, Dhamar and Dhalea.
The center warned citizens against being in the stomachs of valleys and torrential corridors, thunderbolts, and low horizontal visibility in roads and mountain slopes due to rain and fog formation.
