MOSCOW September 01. 2024 (Saba) - Russian air defenses late on Saturday shot down 158 Ukrainian drones targeting Moscow and the southwestern provinces of the country.
“Last night, the Kiev regime attempted to carry out a large-scale terrorist attack using drones on targets in Russian territory, and air defense systems confronted them, intercepted and destroyed 158 drones,” Sputnik Agency quoted the Russian Defense Ministry as saying in a statement today.
The statement explained that 46 drones were destroyed at night over the territory of Kursk Province, 34 others over Bryansk Province, 28 over Voronezh, 14 over Belgorod Province, eight over Ryazan Province, and nine over Moscow.”
"Air defenses shot down five drones over Kaluga province, four over Lipetsk, three over Tula province, two each over Tambov and Smolensk, and one each over Oryol, Tver and Ivanovo provinces," the statement continued, Kiev is using terrorist methods, primarily the use of attack drones and artillery shelling against civilians and civilian facilities in Russia, and Russian forces are confronting them.
