RAMALLAH September 01. 2024 (Saba) -The Zionist army and settlers committed 1,228 assaults last August, in one of the occupier's most serious, persistent violations, chief of the Palestinian authority opposing the wall and settlement said on Sunday.
The unprecedented violations portend further crimes that amount to war crimes, Minister Moaied Shaban added in monthly report, as the occupier deliberately commits assaults as part of war raged against the Palestinian people everywhere.
While 1,024 assaults were committed by the occupier's army (204 in Quds province, 137 in Ramallah and Berea, and 135 in Nablus), another 204 were committed by settlers (44 in Nablus province, 39 in Ramallah and Berea, 39 in Hebron, and 27 in Bethlehem), the report read.
The assaults took the form of armed attacks against Palestinian villages, realities imposed on the ground, field executions, destruction of land, extraction of trees, misappropriation of properties, closures, and erection of barriers that delink the Palestinian geography, the report added.
The settlers' assaults claimed live of civilians in Qalqilia and Bethlehem, where militias of settlers launched terrorism, organized attacks with army's protection, according to the report.
