OCCUPIED AL-QUDS September 01. 2024 (Saba) - Yair Lapid, the leader of the opposition in the Zionist entity, has called for a nationwide strike to press the government of Benjamin Netanyahu into negotiating the release of remaining Zionist prisoners held in the Gaza Strip.
According to the Palestinian Information Center, Lapid, who previously served as Prime Minister, urged citizens to participate in a major protest in Tel Aviv/Jaffa later Sunday.
His call for action follows the recovery of the bodies of six prisoners by Zionist enemy forces, who were being held by resistance groups in Gaza.
The announcement of the recovery, after the bodies were found inside a tunnel, has sparked widespread anger within the entity.
The "Families of the Kidnapped" have demanded that labor unions and institutions engage in strikes and demonstrations to paralyze movement and increase pressure on the Netanyahu government.
