HODEIDA August 31. 2024 (Saba) - A meeting in the Hodeida Governorate discussed the mechanism of activating the cultivation of desert and arable sand dunes through agricultural associations in various directorates of the governorate.
The meeting, which included First Undersecretary of the Governorate Ahmed Mahdi Al-Bishri, and Secretary-General of the Agricultural Cooperative Union Mohammed Al-Qahoum, with a number of representatives of agricultural associations, reviewed the plans and procedures necessary to cultivate 100,000 hectares of desert land and arable sand dunes in conjunction with the rainy season.
The meeting, in the presence of the heads of the agricultural committee in the governorate, Mutahar Al-Hadi, and the Tihama Development Authority, Ali Hazza, stressed the efforts made to support the associations with plowing from agricultural associations in the mountainous governorates and provide diesel and seeds of all kinds in order to expand the cultivation of large areas of desert lands with various agricultural varieties.
The meeting pointed to the importance of concerted efforts and the speed of implementation to keep pace with the agricultural season and exploit agricultural opportunities on a large scale after the rains, thanks to God Almighty, included various parts of the country.
