SANA'A August 31. 2024 (Saba) - The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has expressed deep sorrow over the death of renowned plastic artist Mohammed al-Basheq, who passed away due to injuries sustained in a traffic accident in the capital Sana'a.
In its obituary statement, the ministry highlighted al-Basheq's significant contributions to the field of plastic arts. The statement praised his extensive career, which began after his graduation from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Hodeida.
It noted his first exhibition in 2005 at the College of Arts and his subsequent participation in numerous exhibitions, including those at the Plastic Arts House, various institutions, training centers, and festivals.
The ministry acknowledged Al-Bashq's impact on enriching the plastic arts scene through his remarkable artistic achievements and expressed condolences to his family and the artistic community.
