JENIN August 30. 2024 (Saba) - Three Palestinians were martyred early Friday morning due to Zionist enemy shelling of a vehicle near the town of Zababdeh, south of Jenin.
According to the Palestine Today News Agency, the Israeli occupation army has been intensifying its aggression on Jenin and its camp in the northern West Bank for the third consecutive day, causing extensive damage to infrastructure, streets, and buildings.
Local media sources in Jenin reported that the occupation forces have seized the bodies of the three martyrs, and their identities remain undisclosed.
The Israeli army confirmed in a statement that an Israeli Air Force warplane targeted a site during clashes in Jenin. Additionally, the forces demolished parts of the Khalid bin al-Walid Mosque in Jenin's eastern neighborhood and cut off electricity throughout the camp during their incursion.
The occupation army conducted a large-scale search operation in Jenin’s eastern neighborhood on Friday morning, detaining and abusing some residents. It also raided several homes near Khalid bin al-Walid Mosque, subjecting citizens to harsh field investigations and arresting several individuals.
Occupation bulldozers and military vehicles stormed Jenin camp center, systematically destroying infrastructure.
The enemy army deployed new reinforcements and besieged the city, closing all its entrances and stationing forces in 15 residential areas.
In response, Jenin Battalion of al-Quds Brigades reported detonating explosive devices targeting the enemy military vehicles in Jalbuni area, achieving direct hits.
The battalion also set off a pre-prepared explosive device on al-Sahl Road’s supply line and engaged in fierce clashes on Haifa Street.
