GENEVA August 28. 2024 (Saba) - The United Nations has warned that the large-scale military operation launched by the Zionist enemy army at dawn on Wednesday in the occupied West Bank threatens to exacerbate the catastrophic situation in the Palestinian territories.
The Palestinian Information Center quoted the spokeswoman for the UN Human Rights Office, Ravina Shamdasani, in a statement: "The large-scale attacks initiated by the Zionist army in the occupied West Bank threaten to exacerbate the catastrophic situation in the Palestinian territories."
It confirmed that at least nine Palestinians, including two children, were killed today as a result of Zionist attacks in Jenin, Tubas and Tulkarm, bringing the number of martyrs in the West Bank since October to 637.
It noted that many children were martyred in the attacks for allegedly throwing stones at Zionist soldiers, and other Palestinians who posed no threat were killed.
The unnecessary or disproportionate use of force and targeted killings are worrying.
