TAHRAN 28. 2024 (Saba) - Iran and Turkmenistan have signed strategic agreements, President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Wednesday.

"Today was a happy day for us as we received the national leader of Turkmenistan and had a good and effective dialogue," Tasnim international news agency quoted the Iranian president as saying at a joint press conference with the national leader of Turkmenistan.

He added: Strategic agreements have been signed between us and Turkmenistan, and we hope that these relations and agreements will lead to the expansion of mutual cooperation in other areas of cooperation.

We hope that the Dear Leader of Turkmenistan will have a good time in Iran, and, God willing, we will meet with him in Ashgabat very soon, and we will follow up on what we have signed in practice.
