SANA'A August 24. 2024 (Saba) - Minister of Finance Abdul Jabbar Ahmed Mohammed discussed during his meeting on Saturday with Chairman of the Board of Directors of "CAC Bank" Ibrahim Al-Houthi, the implementation level of electronic revenue collection at the level of state institutions.
The meeting, which included Finance Ministry Undersecretary for the Organization and Government Accounts Sector, Mohammed Abdullah Amer, Head of the Executive Unit for Information and Systems, Engineer Hamid Hassan, Heads of the Payments Sector at CAC Bank, Jameel Al-Shamiri, Operations and Information Technology, Dhaker Al-Samai, reviewed the problems that hinder the completion of electronic collection of all fees and revenues in all government agencies.
The meeting stressed the need to provide capabilities and overcome all difficulties to achieve full electronic collection of all state resources in accordance with the approved mechanisms and programs, which contributes to enhancing financial transparency and ensuring revenue collection.
During the meeting, Finance Minister stressed working with the leadership of CAC Bank to complete linking entities not currently covered by electronic collection, and helping them transition to electronic collection systems and providing the appropriate environment that enables them to implement the programs and systems that have been prepared for this purpose.
He pointed out the importance of interconnecting the systems with each other and ensuring the smoothness and flexibility of procedures to achieve the required efficiency, which will contribute significantly to controlling the collection process and eliminating any imbalances that may accompany manual collection.
