MOSCOW August 20. 2024 (Saba) – The Russian Defense Ministry has announced significant casualties among Ukrainian forces in Kursk province, claiming that around 350 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in the past 24 hours.
Additionally, Russian forces reported the destruction of 25 Ukrainian armored vehicles, including four tanks, an infantry fighting vehicle, two armored personnel carriers, and 18 armored combat vehicles.
The ministry's statement, relayed by the Russian news agency Sputnik, detailed Russian tactical airstrikes in the Sumy region, targeting Ukrainian military concentrations in Alexandria, Belopol, Volnaya Sloboda, Vorozhba, Lukhnya, Mogritsa, and Khotyn. Attacks also focused on Ukrainian units from the 22nd, 115th, 80th, and 82nd Airborne Assault Brigades in various locations.
Russian forces, including aviation and artillery units, thwarted Ukrainian attacks in the Borki, Korynevo, Krymyannoye, and Kanabelka areas, resulting in approximately 60 additional Ukrainian casualties and the destruction of two tanks and eight armored combat vehicles.
