NEW YORK August 16. 2024 (Saba) - Josep Borrell, the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs, on Friday condemned the recent attack by Zionist settlers on the village of Jit in the West Bank, labeling it as an attempt to terrorize Palestinian civilians.
Borrell criticized the impunity with which these settlers operate and announced plans to propose EU sanctions against those who support violent settlers, including Israeli government members.
The attack resulted in one fatality, several injuries, and significant property damage.
