SANA'A August 14. 2024 (Saba) - The Presidency Parliament held a meeting on Wednesday headed by the Council Speaker , Yahya Al-Ra'i.
The meeting congratulated starting the radical changes and the issuance of the decision of the President of the Supreme Political Council to form a government of change and construction.
The Presidency pointed out the importance of the stage and what it requires in terms of cooperation, coordination and unification of efforts to confront the challenges in the homeland and the region, as a result of the repercussions left by the aggression and siege, including the escalation of the arrogance and brutal Zionist-American-British aggression against Yemen , Palestine , the massacres, destruction and siege that Gaza is being subjected to.
The Parliament Speaker expressed his congratulations, along with the Presidency and the parliament members , to the President and members of the government for gaining the confidence of the Revolution Leader , Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the Supreme Political Council.
He wished them success in carrying out their great duties and responsibilities towards the homeland and the citizen.
He stressed that the parliament will be an aid and support to the government in carrying out joint tasks, especially those related to its reform programs by approving the laws and regulations organizing them that keep pace with the requirements of the stage.
In the meeting, the Presidency of the Council condemned the storming and desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Zionist entity ministers and members of the Knesset, along with thousands of Zionist extremists, considering these acts a provocation to the feelings of Arabs , Muslims and a blatant violation of international law.
The Council called on the sons of the Arab , Islamic nation and the free people of the world to take urgent action to stop the Zionist tampering , arrogance and put an end to the violations against the sons of the Palestinians, the nation and its sanctities, renewing its strong condemnation of the continuation of the Zionist massacres against the Palestinians, since October 7.
The Authority renewed its condemnation of the continued Arab and international silence and the policy of turning a blind eye to the crimes and genocide committed by the Zionist occupation entity against the Palestinians.
It called on the world to take urgent action to save the Palestinian people and hold the leaders of the criminal Zionist entity accountable for the crimes they have committed.
In its meeting, the Authority discussed a number of topics included in its agenda related to the legislative and oversight tasks of the Council, including discussing and approving the draft agenda of the Council for the coming period.
It invited the Council members to attend to resume the Council sessions next Saturday, 13 Safar 1446 AH, corresponding to August 17, 2024 AD, God willing..
The Authority also discussed a number of topics related to the tasks of the Council , its General Secretariat and took the necessary decisions regarding them.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the Council, Abdullah Al Qasimi, and the Assistant Secretary-General, Abdul Rahman Al Mansour.
