MOSCOW August 14. 2024 (Saba) - The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Wednesday that air defense systems were able to intercept and destroy 117 Ukrainian drones and four Tochka-U missiles over several Russian regions.

The Russian Defense Ministry said, according to Sputnik Agency: "Last night, Kiev regime attempted to carry out a terrorist attack using drones and Tochka-U tactical missiles against targets on Russian territory."

"Air defense systems destroyed four tactical missiles and 117 drones, 37 drones and four tactical missiles were destroyed over the territory of the Kursk region, and 37 more drones were destroyed over the Voronezh region," it added.

"Seventeen drones were destroyed over the territory of the Belgorod region, 11 drones over the Nizhny Novgorod regions, nine drones over the Volgograd region, three over the Bryansk region, two over the Oryol region and one over the Rostov region," the Russian Defense Ministry continued.
