ISLAMABAD August 10. 2024 (Saba) - The Pakistani army on Saturday announced the death of three soldiers and four militants in a terrorist attack on three army sites in the northwest of the country on the border with Afghanistan.
The attacks led to violent clashes in the Tirah Valley in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, indicating that the search operation in the area to eliminate the militants is continuing, the Associated Press quoted the army as saying in a statement.
The Pakistani army did not provide further details, but a faction that broke away from the Taliban movement claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement.
It is noteworthy that Pakistan has witnessed an increase in militant attacks in recent years, especially in the northwest of the country.
