WASHINGTON August 08. 2024 (Saba) - The Israeli army's reported rapes, tortures and maltreatments of Palestinian detainees rouse deep concerns, spokeswoman for the White House said late on Wednesday.

Israeli is urged to treat all the detainees humanely according to the international law, respect human rights, and act responsibly towards any violations, Karin Jan added in remarks to media.

Israel needs to carry out an inclusive probe into sexual assaults against the Palestinian detainees, spokesman for the U.S. department of state, Motheo Miller, said.
