BEIRUT August 07. 2024 (Saba) -Lebanon's Hezbollah on Tuesday congratulated the Islamic Resistance Movement, al-Qassam Battalions and Yahiya al-Sinwar for selecting the latter as the new chief of Hamas politburo, in place of Martyr Ismael Haniyah.
The selection of Sinwar, from inner Gaza, for this post is a strong message to the Israeli occupier along with the United States and allies that "Hamas is unified in its decisions, constant in principles and firm in its great choices, and is determined to go ahead along with other Palestinian sects in resistance path, whatever the sacrifices are," Hezbollah said in a statement.
"Sinwar is living among his brethren mujahedeen inside trenches and his people under rubbles, siege, killing and starvation, and his selection proves that the occupier's objectives to kill leaders have went in vain, and that the banner goes from hand to hand stained with martyrs' blood."
With the Resistance Axis engaged in heroic, historical battle, Hamas's election of new leader in this time enhances the Uma's and regional peoples' faith and will to unify efforts and continue jihad until full liberation if realized, Hezbollah added.
