BAYDA August 05. 2024 (Saba) - During his meeting with the advisor to the head of the sub-delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Yemen, Fares Al-Bashari, the governor of Al-Bayda, Abdullah Idris, discussed the economic empowerment project and the humanitarian interventions of the mission.
The meeting, which included the governor's deputies Abdullah Al-Jamali and Zain Al-Rayami, the directors of humanitarian affairs Abdul-Jabbar Al-Amdi , agriculture Abdullah Al-Amri and the Red Crescent Society in the province Omar Al-Hadar, discussed the most important needs in the development , humanitarian sectors and strengthening the partnership with the local authority to implement priority project plans in the field of water, hygiene, health, environmental sanitation, agriculture and the Association for the Disabled.
During the meeting, Al Bayda Governor Idris praised the efforts of the Red Cross mission in focusing on the priorities of need in the humanitarian and relief aspects in the province, as well as economic empowerment.. stressing the keenness of the governorate leadership to facilitate the international missions and humanitarian organizations work to expand their projects and interventions.
While the advisor to the head of the Red Cross International Committee sub-delegation in Yemen reviewed the projects and interventions implemented in a number of areas in coordination with the Red Crescent Society, humanitarian affairs, the local authority and the concerned authorities, in addition to assessing the situation and working to implement future projects according to priorities.
He pointed out that the Red Cross Society, in cooperation with the Red Crescent Society in Al Bayda, has begun to deliver financial amounts to 26 disabled people in the amount of 26 thousand dollars, within the empowerment projects.. stressing that the province will be among the mission's interests and priorities to implement a number of projects in the coming period.
