HODEIDA August 03. 2024 (Saba) - Hodeida Governor, Mohammed Qahim, inspected rainwater drainage project effectiveness in Hodeida city .
During the rain, Governor Qahim inspected the project's drainage outlets and channels on Sa'a roundabout, and the water accumulation in front of traffic on the main street.
He supervised the removal of waste that was swept away by the torrential floods and blocked the channels, which were immediately opened by the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund team.
The governor noted the effectiveness of the project in draining water that remained accumulated for several days on the main street during the rainy season.
The Public Works Office and the Cleanliness Fund directed to carry out continuous maintenance of the canals, which would contribute to the sustainability of the project , improve its performance in draining water on a regular basis, and prevent any obstacles that cause water accumulation.
While reviewing the floods drainage through the recently implemented project, Governor Mohammed Qahim met a number of citizens and listened to their impressions regarding the drainage of rainwater and the extent of obstacles or problems compared to before the project was implemented.
