SANA'A August 03. 2024 – Sana'a University on Saturday marked the International Day of Rage to support Gaza and express solidarity with Palestinian prisoners, honoring the call of the martyred Ismail Haniyeh and following directives from Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi.
An event included participation from university affiliates, civil society organizations, and the Social Affairs Office.
Deputy Minister of Higher Education Dr. Ali Sharaf al-Din emphasized the need for military readiness and public awareness campaigns.
He reassured that Haniyeh's martyrdom would strengthen resistance and urged continued support for the Palestinian cause.
University Rector Dr. al-Qasim Abbas condemned the targeting of resistance leaders and criticized American and Zionist actions, calling for decisive responses against occupiers.
Abbas highlighted the role of martyrdom in fostering resistance and urged the global community to support the Palestinian cause.
Dr. Majdi Azzam, representing the Palestinian community, detailed the plight of Palestinian prisoners and criticized the Arab position's weaknesses since 1948.
Azzam emphasized the resilience of movements like Hamas and Hezbollah.
The event concluded with a solidarity stand, reiterating support for Palestinian prisoners and condemning the brutal practices against them.
It called for continued jihad and international support to expose Zionist crimes and advocate for Palestinian rights.
