HODEIDA August 03. 2024 (Saba) - A meeting in the Hodeida Governorate, chaired on Saturday by Governor Mohamed Qahim, discussed the mechanism for maintaining rainwater drainage channels.
The meeting, which included the governorate's undersecretary for services affairs, Mohamed Halissi, and some officials reviewed efforts to drain water in conjunction with the rainfall.
The meeting touched on the plan to prepare for a wide cleaning campaign for the city of Hodeida to prevent pollution and preserve public health and the environment.
During the meeting, a committee was formed to ensure that the canals are connected to wastewater.
Governor Qahim stressed the need for concerted efforts by all parties to take measures and find emergency treatments for any problems caused by floodwaters in conjunction with the rainy season.
He urged the activation of community initiatives and the role of the relevant authorities to cooperate with cleaners in removing the remnants of rain torrents, cleaning the streets, and removing any obstacles from the streets and neighborhoods.
