SANA'A August 02. 2024 (Saba) - The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted thunderstorms of varying intensity in a number of provinces over the next 24 hours.
The center reported in its weather bulletin, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that thunderstorms of varying intensity are expected, accompanied by strong winds and hail in parts of Sa'ada, Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Raymah, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Hodeida and Tihama Plain provinces.
While thunderstorms of varying intensity may fall on parts of Sana'a, Amran, Al Dhale', Al Bayda, western Al Jawf and Marib, the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout, Al Mahrah provinces and parts of the southern coasts
The center urged citizens in areas where rain is expected to be careful and avoid being in valleys and torrents, thunderstorms, strong winds and hail.
It warned drivers of reduced horizontal visibility due to rainfall, low clouds, fog or water mist on mountain roads and rock collapses.
The center called on the relevant official authorities to take the necessary measures , procedures to protect lives , property , to follow up on the bulletins and reports issued by it.
