BAGHDAD July 31. 2024 (Saba) - The Iraqi Popular Mobilization Authority on Saturday vowed to retaliate for the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, emphasizing that his blood, shed after a life dedicated to jihad, would not be in vain.
The Authority's statement condemned the continuous violations of sovereignty by foreign forces, citing a recent aggressive operation against its forces in northern Babil Governorate.
It called for an immediate decision to withdraw foreign troops from Iraq.
The statement linked this attack to the assassination of Haniyeh, claiming it revealed a broader plan by the enemies to ignite regional conflict and expand war and aggression.
The Authority expressed condolences to the families of the martyrs, the Palestinian people, and the Hamas movement, reiterating its commitment to the resistance and the liberation of Palestine.
The statement concluded by asserting that the blood of Haniyeh would only strengthen the resolve of the resistance fighters to continue their jihad.
