DAMASCUS July 31. 2024 (Saba) - Syria condemned the new crime committed by the Zionist enemy by carrying out a terrorist aggression in the Iranian capital, Tehran, which led to the martyrdom of the head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement, Ismail Haniyeh.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Syrian Foreign Ministry affirmed its support for the Islamic Republic of Iran and its solidarity with it and its condolences to the resistant and steadfast Palestinian people in the face of the criminal machine of aggression.
It said: The Zionist entity committed a new crime at dawn today when it carried out a terrorist aggression in the Iranian capital, Tehran, and led to the martyrdom of the head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement Ismail Haniyeh.
This despicable act came after a series of vicious Zionist attacks on many sites in the region, including the occupied Syrian Golan, Lebanon and Iraq, in addition to its continued genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
The Syrian Arabic Republic condemns this blatant Zionist aggression and this serious violation of the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which represents a violation of international law, and considers that the Zionist entity's continued disregard for international laws, its failure to comply with the resolutions of the Security Council and the General Assembly, and the calls of most countries of the world to stop its massacres, may lead to the ignition of the entire region.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry concluded its statement by saying: Syria expresses its support for the Islamic Republic of Iran and its solidarity with it, expresses its condolences to the resistant and steadfast Palestinian people in the face of the criminal machine of aggression, and affirms its permanent support for it in its just struggle to obtain its legitimate national rights and establish its independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
