TEHRAN July 30. 2024 (Saba) -Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani on Tuesday strongly condemned the malicious and criminal act carried out by the Zionist criminal gang in the air aggression on a residential building in Beirut.
Tasnim International News Agency quoted Kanaani as saying: "This attack by the Zionist entity is a flagrant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon and a flagrant violation of international laws and regulations and the Charter of the United Nations."
He added: "It is certain that the malicious and criminal act carried out by the Zionist criminal gang in the suburb of Beirut cannot prevent the lofty Lebanese people and resistance from continuing the honorable path in supporting the oppressed Palestinians and standing against the aggression of the Zionist apartheid entity."
Kanaani stressed the legitimate right of the Lebanese government, army and resistance to respond to the aggressive practices of the usurping Zionist entity. He held the fake Zionist entity and the US administration responsible for expanding the circle of tension and crisis in the region.
He called on the international community and the United Nations Security Council to urgently assume their responsibility towards the threats of the Zionist entity to regional and international peace and Lebanon security, peace and stability.
The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry expressed his condolences to the families of the victims of this aggressive attack and wished a speedy recovery to the wounded, as well as expressed his sympathy and solidarity with the Lebanon government and people.
