SANA'A July 29. 2024 (Saba) - The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects scattered and varying thunderstorms in a number of provinces, strong winds on the Socotra Archipelago , the eastern and southern coasts during the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that it expects thunderstorms of varying intensity, sometimes accompanied by hail, in parts of Sa'ada, Amran, Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Sana'a, Dhamar, Raymah, Ibb, Taiz and Al Dhale' procinces.
Scattered rains are expected, sometimes accompanied by thunder, in parts of Lahj, Abyan, Al Bayda, Shabwa, Hadramout, Al Mahrah and the highlands of Marib, Al Jawf provinces and Tihama Plain during the afternoon and evening periods.
The center warned citizens in areas where rain is expected to fall from being in valleys and flood paths and from thunderstorms, and from the decrease in horizontal visibility due to rainfall and dense low clouds. It also warned seafarers, fishermen and ship captains of rough seas and high waves around the Socotra Archipelago, the eastern Gulf of Aden, the eastern and southern coasts.
