BEIRUT July 28. 2024 (Saba) -Former president of the Lebanese Socialist Progressive Party late on Saturday warned against Zionist plans to ignite hostilities, and offered condolences to families of victims recently killed in Golan.
With Hezbollah denying the Islamic resistance's link to the tragedy, everyone needs to pay attention to plots crafted by the enemy, Walid Gomblat said, warning everybody in Lebanon and Golan against sliding into the enemy's devastating project.
The occupier has long sought to ignite seditions, divide the region and target its components, he said, as "we'd previously foiled the Israeli plot," but it is trying again and "we'll wait for it beside the resistance."
The occupier's history and presence are full of carnages against civilians, the politician added, calling for immediate ceasefire lest the war spreads.
Targeting the civilians is rejected and condemned, whether in the occupied lands of Palestine or Golan or in South Lebanon, he said.
