SA'ADA July 27. 2024 (Saba) - Sa'ada Governor Mohammed Jaber Awad discussed with the Director of the General Authority for the Preservation of Historic Cities, Abdo Hassan Jatoum, the mechanism to save and preserve the historic city of Sa'ada.
The meeting, which included the governor's deputies Mohammed Ka'iba, Mohammed Al-Badani and Mohammed Muqbil Al-Razami, reviewed a report on the status of the historic city , the damage it suffered as a result of climate change and heavy rains, , the means to reduce the waste of random construction and coordinate with the partner agencies in the process of preserving the city.
In the meeting, Governor Awad stressed the importance of finding a mechanism to save the historic old Sa'ada, which contains many Islamic monuments and landmarks.
He called on the Public Works Office, the Local Council of Sa'ada City and the Survey Authority to coordinate efforts to preserve the old city of Sa'ada, expressing the local authority’s readiness to support all activities that would serve the people of the province.
