KYIV July 24. 2024 (Saba) - Sergey Lebedev, coordinator of covert action in southern Ukraine, announced that violent explosions were heard shaking the crane factory in Odessa city following a Russian strike that targeted a Western missile warehouse and a gathering of mercenaries there.
Lebedev said, according to what was reported by the Russian “Novosti” news agency: “A violent explosion was heard that shook the city in the area of the “Krayan” factory for manufacturing heavy cranes. According to resistance sources, a Russian strike at approximately eight o’clock in the morning targeted a warehouse for Western missiles that had recently arrived at the factory. Odessa residents are also circulating reports of explosions in the area and thick plumes of smoke rising from them.”
Lebedev pointed out that about ten foreign mercenaries were in the warehouse area when the strike occurred.
Odessa is an important seaport besieged by the Russian fleet in southwestern Ukraine, and Kiev forces and their Western sponsors are trying to break the siege on it in various ways to bring military shipments and weapons to it by ship, as they are now trying to transport them by land through Romania in ways that are targeted by Russian strikes.
