OCCUPIED QUDS July 18. 2024 (Saba) -The Israeli Knesset's general body on Thursday approved the a draft act expanding the regular service in the army for additional five years.
Under emergency law, the act states that the military service would be 32 to 36 months, and - according to amendment - those who serve for more than 28 months would receive financial compensation.
The act authorizes war minister to determine the regular service from 28 to 36 months, in accordance with units, with the decision subject to approval of the Knesset's committee for foreign and security affairs.
