BAYDA July 16. 2024 (Saba) - A cultural and rhetorical event was organized on Tuesday in Al-Bayda Province on the occasion of Imam Hussein - peace be upon him-martyrdom anniversary .
At the event, Governor Abdullah Idris stressed the importance of commemorating Ashura to recognize the injustice of Imam Hussein and to draw lessons from this painful memory... indicating that this anniversary comes from a standpoint of responsibility to strengthen the faith identity that characterizes the Yemeni people in confronting the tyrants represented today by the American and the British aggression.
For his part, a member of the Association of Yemeni Scholars, Muhammad Al-Saqqaf, gave a speech in the event attended by the governor’s representatives, Abdullah Al-Jamali and Zain Al-Riyami, in which he reviewed part of the events of Ashura and the tragedy and oppression to which Imam Hussein was subjected, which is no different from the Yemeni people oppression due to aggression and siege for more than nine years.. years of shameful international silence.
In turn, the Director of the Education Office in Al-Bayda city , Muhammad Al-Harithi, explained that the revolution of Imam Hussein is a beacon and a school for all oppressed peoples, including the Palestinian and Yemeni peoples, who are exposed to a barbaric, futile aggression directed at steadfastness and will end in crushing defeats.
