SANA'A July 15. 2024 (Saba) - The General Corporation for Roads and Bridges began a qualifying training course for cost and production engineers and accountants, organized on Monday over a period of eight days by the Corporation’s Vocational Training Center for Roads.
The course aims to provide 25 cost accountants in the organization’s branches, projects, maintenance centers and the General Administration of Bridges and Construction with basic knowledge in preparing actual cost and production documents in a correct and complete manner with all necessary attachments.
At the opening, the Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, Engineer Abdul Rahman Al-Hadrami, explained that this session comes within the framework of implementing the national vision for building the modern Yemeni state, and in the outcomes implementation of the Foundation’s annual consultative meeting in 2024 to improve the Foundation’s performance in all its work, especially since its work is fundamentally related to the issue of cost and production, which is the cornerstone to continue and develop its performance.
He pointed out the importance of the played role by the General Cost Administration as it is the regulator of the institution’s performance and work. He pointed out the need for the issue of cost and production to accompany all the work that is carried out, before starting any work, as well as during implementation, in order to ensure the achievement of the best results.
The head of the institution urged the trainees to absorb the training material due to its importance in activating the issue of cost so that it can play its role in improving the reality of work in the institution.
At the opening of the course in the presence of the Vice President of the Corporation, Engineer Amir al-Din al-Houthi, the project managers, Engineer Sadiq al-Jarbani, and maintenance, Engineer Abdul Qadir Badi, the director of the training center, Engineer Mahmoud Ezz al-Din, pointed out the importance of holding this course to raise the performance level of workers in the field of cost and production.
He stressed the importance of raising the performance level in cost management in projects in order to achieve better performance, production efficiency and lower costs, while ensuring commitment to quality, specifications and production standards.
