WASHINGTON July 12. 2024 (Saba) - President Joe Biden reiterated his commitment to achieving a ceasefire in Gaza and ending the ongoing conflict during a press conference in Washington on Friday.

"We are actively working to secure a ceasefire in Gaza," Biden stated. "I am determined to reach an agreement and bring an end to this war."

Highlighting the diplomatic efforts, Biden mentioned, "I have dispatched my team to the region to address the complexities in negotiations aimed at halting the conflict in Gaza."

He emphasized the duration of these efforts, noting, "We have been engaged in this work for three months, aiming to secure a ceasefire and ensure the safe return of civilians to their homes."

Acknowledging the challenges, Biden remarked, "The negotiations in Doha for a ceasefire are challenging and intricate."
