TEHRAN July 10. 2024 (Saba) - The head of the Iranian Civil Defense Organization, Brigadier General Gholamreza Jalali, has revealed the failure of enemies to launch attacks on the country's telecommunications and electricity infrastructure during the presidential elections.
According to Tasnim International News Agency, Brigadier General Gholamreza Jalali said in a speech on Wednesday, during the elections, the enemies made many threats and did everything in their power to sabotage and attack the telecommunications, media and electricity infrastructure, and made great attempts to limit participation, but despite all that, the participation was relatively good.
He added that the turnout was 50 percent and a total of about 55 million people came to the polls in two weeks and felt responsible for their country and voted and elected the president with relatively good participation.
