NEW YORK July 10. 2024 (Saba) -Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzia, confirmed that Russian forces do not attack civilian targets in Ukraine, pointing out that the Ukrainian regime is violating international humanitarian law by deploying air defense systems and heavy weapons in residential areas.

"Novosti" news agency quoted Nebenzia during a UN Security Council session last night as saying: "The tragedy that occurred in Kiev as a result of a missile landing near a hospital could have been avoided if Ukraine had not deployed air defense systems in residential areas."

It added: The Russian forces are directing their strikes only against the military industry in Ukraine and the aviation bases of the Kiev forces.
