OCCUPIED AL-QUDS July 07. 2024 (Saba) - Zionist settlers set fire to Palestinian lands planted and cultivated in Al-Janiya village, west of Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank, on Tuesday.
Local sources said that settlers threw incendiary materials on private Palestinian lands near the "Talmon" settlement, which was built on citizens' lands in Al-Janiya village; before fleeing into the aforementioned settlement.
Residents noted that the fire burned about 5-7 dunams of Al-Janiya village lands. They indicated that a settler crossed the fence separating Al-Janiya village and the "Talmon" settlement and set fire to the targeted lands, which the occupation has prevented from being reclaimed for several months.
The sources pointed out that citizens from Al-Janiya village tried to extinguish the fires, in light of the high temperatures that helped the fires spread to lands and areas near inhabited homes belonging to the two brotherly citizens; Mohammed and Ismail Musa Mazloum.
Citizens and residents of the houses prevented the fire from spreading to other lands adjacent to the targeted area, which are planted with olive trees.
