GAZA July 08. 2024 (Saba) -The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas warned that the Israeli army's unprecedented escalation against civilians in the Gaza Strip may restore negotiations to square one.
Hamas said in a statement on Monday evening that "in light of the ongoing threat of the enemy army to large neighborhoods of Gaza City and the demand to evacuate them and its massacres, killing and displacement, this would return the negotiating process to square one."
The statement pointed out that "the head of Hamas' political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, held urgent contacts with mediators, warning of the catastrophic repercussions of the escalation taking place in Gaza by the occupation army."
According to the statement, Haniyeh held Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "fully responsible for the collapse of this negotiating track."
Since the seventh of last October, the Zionist enemy army continues its aggression on the Gaza Strip, with American and European support, as its planes bomb the vicinity of hospitals, buildings, towers and homes of Palestinian civilians and destroy them over the heads of their residents, and prevent the entry of water, food, medicine and fuel.
