NEW DELHI July 08. 2024 (Saba) – The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday headed to Moscow to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, in his first visit outside the country after winning the elections and forming the government.

Before his departure, Modi said that he was heading to Moscow to meet his friend, the Russian President, noting that the special and distinguished strategic partnership between India and Russia has progressed over the past ten years, including in the fields of energy, security, trade, investment, health, education, culture and tourism.

On Tuesday, the Indian Prime Minister is scheduled to meet with the Indian community in Russia, lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Red Square, and visit the pavilion of the Russian nuclear energy giant Rosatom at the “National Economic Successes” exhibition in Moscow.

This will be followed by a dialogue between the leaders of the two countries in a small format, before expanded discussions that they will chair.
