SANA'A July 07. 2024 (Saba) - The Deputy Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Mutahar Al-Marwani, inspected on Sunday the progress of health services in a number of centers for the treatment of watery diarrhea diseases in the Capital Municipality and Sana'a Governorate.
Al-Maruni, along with the Director of the Health Office in Sana'a Governorate, Dr. Khaled Al-Montaser, were briefed on the services and health conditions at the Acute Watery Diarrhoea Treatment Center at Martyr Hani Tomer Hospital in Maeen District in Sana'a city.
They listened to the director of the hospital, Dr. Ali Al-Murtada, and those in charge of the center to explain the level of services provided in the treatment of watery diarrhea diseases and the number of visitors amounting to two thousand and 893 cases, since the beginning of the wave on March 13. Pointing to the difficulties that are faced and ways to overcome them.
Al-Marwani and Al-Montaser were also briefed on the progress of work at the Diarrhea Treatment Center, and the Isolation Center at 22 May Hospital - Dhala Hamedan, Sana'a Governorate.
They listened from those in charge of the center to an explanation about the measures taken in the treatment of the disease and the most prominent obstacles facing the workflow.
The Deputy Minister and Director of Health in the governorate noted the efforts made in treating watery diarrhea diseases, and the importance of enhancing awareness in this aspect, and redoubling efforts to ensure the continuation of the provision of services until this wave is overcome.
They pointed to the keenness of the ministry and the office to overcome all difficulties facing the workflow and provide the necessary needs to address these diseases.
In addition, the director of the 22nd of May Hospital, and the director of surveillance in the governorate, explained that the cases of hospitalization in the center amounted to 413 cases, including 58 cases of women and 63 cases of children, while the number of observation cases reached 817 cases.
