Venezuela declares resumed dialogue with U.S. despite sanctions
[Tue, 02 Jul 2024 19:07:26 +0300]

KARAKAS July 02. 2024 (Saba) -Dialogue with the United States will resume next Wednesday, the Venezuelan president said on Monday, in a step that comes prior to the Venezuelan presidential elections on 28 July.

The U.S. will resume talks next Wednesday, as long as they abide by deals inked in Qatar and restore dialogue conditions, Nicolas Maduro Moros added, although Washington re-imposed sanctions on the Venezuelan oil sector.

Last April, the United States re-imposed sanctions on the Venezuelan oil and gas sectors, accusing Maduro government of persisting in oppressing the opposition before the presidential elections.
