MOSCOW July 02. 2024 (Saba) -Sevastopol's air defenses are functional and all the services were put in alert state, mayor of the city said late on Monday, following an attack on the Russian city.

Shrapnel of the projectiles downed in the attack fell on coastal areas and Balaklava, and probes into damages are underway, Mikhail Razvozhayev added on Telegram, according to Sputnik.

Following surveillance, the Russian air defenses shot down four hostile targets in Balaklava.

Earlier on Monday, the Russian defense ministry declared the liberation of two towns in the zone under the special military operation.
