WASHINGTON July 01. 2024 (Saba) -The U.S. army on Sunday raised alert to 'Charley', the 2nd highest, level at many bases in Europe, American media said late on Sunday.
This level is set when an incident occurs or received intelligence indicate that a form of terrorist acts potentially exist or target individuals or facilities, the U.S. army said on its website.
Due to a set of factors that could affect the safety and security of U.S. servicemen and their families positioned in Europe, the USEUCOM doubles its efforts to emphasize on alert during Summer months, the Pentagon said.
