AMRAN July 01. 2024 (Saba) – A meeting held at Amran University today, chaired by Governor Dr. Faisal Joman, discussed preparations for the new academic year.

The meeting, which included University rector Dr. Khalid al-Hawali, Vice rector for Student Affairs Dr. Zakaria al-Shaibi, and Director of the Martyrs' Families Care Authority Branch Ibrahim Al-Nono, addressed the levels of enrollment and registration for the academic year 1446 AH across various university faculties, especially in medicine and engineering.

The meeting approved the allocation of ten seats for students from remote districts that have not previously had students accepted into the medicine and pharmacy departments. The top student from each district, based on entrance exam results in both the regular and parallel systems, will be chosen. Additionally, free seats will be allocated for the children of martyrs.

Governor Joman emphasized the importance of prioritizing students from remote districts in the medical college and other practical and applied faculties, while adhering to student acceptance standards. He highlighted the significance of Amran University's output, particularly from the faculties of medicine and engineering, in meeting the province's need for medical and other scientific professionals.

Governor Joman praised the efforts made to ensure successful coordination and acceptance processes, as well as the reception of students wishing to enroll at Amran University.

University rector Dr. al-Hawali noted that the admission tests for the medical faculty were conducted transparently using electronic correction to ensure equal opportunities for all applicants. He also highlighted the achievements of Amran University in terms of infrastructure and scientific advancements, as well as the improvements in the quality of theoretical and practical education.

Dr. al-Hawali expressed his appreciation for the support and assistance provided by the provincial leadership in enhancing the university's educational, academic, and research performance.
