SANA'A June 30. 2024 (Saba) - The Road Maintenance Fund, in coordination with the General Organization for Roads and Bridges, launched today,Sunday, a special workshop on adopting the use of thin asphalt layers in maintaining the road network.
The two-day workshop, with the participation of 200 engineers from the Fund and the Foundation, focuses on aspects related to the implementation of thin asphalt layers, as a successful experience that the Fund and the Foundation has established in recent years and has contributed to the preservation of roads.
For his part, the Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, Engineer Abdul Rahman Al-Hadrami, explained that the conditions of aggression and siege prevented the implementation of the necessary maintenance work for the road network.
He pointed out that the damage to many roads made routine maintenance work useless, pointing out that the interventions implemented by the Foundation and the Fund contributed greatly to preserving the roads and preventing them from falling out of readiness.
The head of the organization stressed the need for everyone to feel the responsibility to work in accordance with the required quality standards and technical specifications to ensure the continuity of the work and projects implemented.
