BEIRUT June 27. 2024 (Saba) - The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah announced on Thursday evening the bombing of the main air defense missile base of the Zionist enemy, affiliated with the Northern Region Command in the "Beria" barracks, with dozens of Katyusha rockets.
The Lebanese resistance said in a statement that this operation comes in response to the Zionist attacks that affected the city of Nabatieh and the town of Sahmar, and in support of the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their valiant and honorable resistance.
For its part, the media of the Zionist enemy reported a power outage in the city of Safed following the recent rocket launch.
About 40 rockets were fired at the Safed area, according to a preliminary report, resulting in a number of casualties and power cuts across the city, it said.
Smoke has been diagnosed in Beria, Safad and Ein Zeitim, and a fire broke out and electricity was cut off in the Beriya settlement after the recent rocket fire.
Israeli media reported that this was "the heaviest rocket launcher fired in the direction of the north in weeks."
