MOSCOW June 26. 2024 (Saba) - Russian air defenses have shot down two Ukrainian drones over the Smolensk province, west the country.

An attempt was thwarted by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using drones on targets in the territory of the Russian Federation, Sputnik news agency quoted the Russian Ministry of Defense as saying in a statement, noting that the air defense systems destroyed two drones over Smolensk, with no injuries reported.

District Governor Vasily Anokhin reported that two drones attempted to target the Vyazemsky region and were destroyed by air defense forces.

Ukrainian forces target Russian border areas almost daily with drones and missiles, causing many civilian casualties, while Russian defenses confront them and fall and destroy most of them.
