SANA'A June 13. 2024 (Saba) - The Skills Development Fund concluded a program to train 50 medical staff on methods of infection prevention while working in health work facilities in the capital secretariat.
The aim of the program is to introduce participants from Ibn Sina Hospital to methods of health prevention and infection control during diagnostic and treatment tasks in the hospital’s nursing, laboratory and pharmacy departments.
The Fund's Executive Director, Ali Al Qasimi, said that the program was implemented with funding for "skills development" through the training center at Al Razi University, with activities that lasted seven days.
In turn, the Vice President of the University, Dr. Abdul Wahab Al-Kohlani, stated that the program included topics that focused on introducing epidemiological investigation systems, reporting communicable diseases, monitoring infections associated with health care, and classifying disease-causing microorganisms.
For his part, the director of the center, Muhammad Abdoun, indicated that the program included activities and lectures over two periods that introduced participants to new studies and research in this field and presented experiences encountered by specialists working in similar environments during their practical tasks in these specializations.
