BAYDA June 13. 2024 (Saba) - In an effort to bolster agriculture and enhance the farming sector, Abdullah Idris, the governor of Bayda, inaugurated a new project today aimed at distributing advanced agricultural equipment.
This project, funded by the Agricultural Initiatives Financing Unit, includes the procurement of three plows, three harvesters, and various other agricultural tools, totaling approximately 60 million Y.R.
Governor Idris praised this initiative, emphasizing the importance of supporting farmers and providing the necessary infrastructure for cash crop cultivation and achieving self-sufficiency in this field.
He underscored that supporting the agricultural sector is a top priority for the local authority, urging efforts towards reclaiming arid lands in line with official directives and revolutionary leadership.
On the other hand, Mohammed al-Haidari, the director of the Agricultural Initiatives Financing Unit, clarified that this step is part of enhancing partnerships with agricultural associations and providing the necessary support to farmers to enhance productivity and improve the quality of agricultural products.
