SANA'A June 09. 2024 (Saba) - A meeting in Sana'a headed by the Executive Director of the Yemeni Authority for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control, Sam Al-Bashiri, discussed today,Sunday, areas of joint cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the capital secretariat.
The meeting, which included the Authority’s Deputy Director for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Dr. Kamal Margham, Technical Affairs, Raya Al-Ansi, members of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Capital Secretariat, Nasr Al-Mutahni, Anwar Al-Husseini, and Muhammad Al-Salami, touched on aspects of cooperation, with regard to the textile and dates sectors, and resolving all problems facing merchants, in a way that would enhance Commercial and productive activity.
Al-Bashiri pointed out the keenness to provide modern devices for examining goods and commodities in accordance with the highest specifications through precise technical and legal procedures.
He pointed out the necessity of cooperation between the Authority, the private sector and merchants regarding the Authority’s work in examining goods , merchandise to protect the citizen from commercial fraud , to preserve the health and safety of the consumer.
Al-Bashiri also stressed the need to adhere to technical procedures and requirements, stressing the importance of activating the joint operations room between the Authority and the Chamber of Commerce in a way that contributes to addressing and resolving the problems that arise as they arise.
For his part, a member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Capital Secretariat, Al-Mutahni, appreciated the authority’s cooperation with the private and commercial sectors in facilitating and simplifying procedures.
He stressed his readiness to respond to the procedures of the Yemeni Authority for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control to serve the community.
