Vice President of Red Sea Ports Corporation reviews damage of Salif Port by aggression’s bombing

HODEIDA May 31. 2024 (Saba) - Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Red Sea Ports Corporation, Nasr Al-Nusairi, reviewed the damage suffered by Al-Salif Port as a result of the American-British aggression that targeted the infrastructure in the port and caused casualties on Thursday evening.

During the visit, in which he was accompanied by the Director of Naval Operations, Captain Muhammad Al-Sayes, the Deputy Director of Al-Salif Port, Hussein Nasser, and the Director of the Maritime Traffic Department, Captain Mustafa Al-Dailami, Al-Nusairi condemned the aggression’s bombing of the port and the resulting material damage, the martyrdom of 13 civilians, and the injury of 25 other port workers.

The Vice President of the Foundation considered targeting ports a clear violation of international agreements and treaties that criminalize targeting vital facilities that are indispensable to people, such as ports, according to the four Geneva Conventions and the protocols attached to them.

Al-Nusairi also reviewed the condition of ship INCE ILGAZ and checked on its crew as a result of it being slightly damaged by the American-British bombing that targeted Al-Salif port.

He stressed that the Red Sea Corporation's ports are civil and carry out their national and humanitarian duty to serve ships and are committed to all international maritime requirements in force in all international ports.

Al-Nusairi held America, Britain, the United Nations, and the international community fully responsible for the effects of the bombing of these vital and service facilities.
